Introduction HVAC project engineer in the Site Management and Buildings Department (SMB), Site engineering Group (SE), Hvac and Electricity section (HE). The site management and builidings Department (SMB) that provides and maintains the infrastructure and services in the domains of the Supply Chain, the Security of the persons and the civil engineering and their technical systems, including all phases from preliminary design to construction management and hand-over. The Site & Engineering Group (SE), responsible for designing, constructing, maintaining, and operating the civil engineering infrastructure of the organisation and the technical systems for the tertiary buildings. The Hvac & Electricity Section (HE) within the SE Group, in charge of the operation, maintenance, design, tendering and work phases of Hvac, Electrical and Sanitary installations of the tertiary buildings. Functions As an HVAC project engineer , you will be in charge of the design and construction of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) plants within the context of projects for new installations and the refurbishment or upgrade of existing systems. You will: Perform feasibility studies or detailed designs of ventilation and air conditioning systems including sizing and cost estimates for the proposed solutions. Write up technical reports and notes. Draw up technical specifications and all relevant documents that will be used to adjudicate the work load to external contractors. Manage the contract tendering and adjudication process. Follow up and regularly report on project's progress issues, schedule and costs, throughout the work phase until the commissioning and formal reception of the work. Ensure technical coordination and supervision of contractors in charge of installation construction. Support the Operation Section in the troubleshooting and process improvement of existing plants. Qualification required Master's degree in the field of mechanical engineering, preferably with a specialisation in industrial ventilation and hydraulics installations or equivalent. Experience and competencies The experience required for this post is: Extensive experience in the design, construction and test of large-size ventilation installations and their related hydraulic components including experience in selecting related equipment and instrumentation. The technical competencies required for this post are: Project management. Design of distribution and air treatment plants. Design of heating production plants. Design of Process control functional analysis / Requirement analysis. Thermal building load calculation according to Swiss or French thermal regulation. Design, construction and test of HVAC ancillary hydraulic systems. Design, construction and test of air distribution networks. Design, construction and test of district heating systems. Design of water cooling plants Raw, chilled, heated water. HVAC process and regulation: including plc and scada control systems. Commissioning & maintenance of mechanical equipment & systems for HVAC plants. The following competencies would be definite assets: Knowledge of sanitary systems. Knowledge of low voltage network and switchboards. Knowledge of quality management.
