Report in a timely manner to the Group CFO regarding all new relevant points in terms of profitability, cash flow, conflicts of interests etc. Ensure full compliance with the Geneva HQ Follow-up on audits Ensure close cooperation with MSC Geneva internal audit department Ensure the accounts of the region are always up to date and reflective of the directions Ensure the region balanced scorecard are developed and maintained Develop and maintain the Credit Management Policy of the region Process credit evaluations and minimize credit days and old overdue. Manage the Cash Management and treasury process including the optimization of cash flow, bank relationships and currency exposure. Optimize VAT and tax structure with responsibilities of adherence to international Transfer Pricing guidelines working closely with the Group Tax Officer. Establish and maintain an appropriate internal control environment with cost reduction driven in all areas Identify revenues optimization and bring creativity in developing new local charges Ensure adequate procurement processes are in place in all countries of that region Be able to quickly built relationships with teams based at our HQ in Geneva but also local teams in your region. Bring recommendations and solutions Be strategic, quick and innovative in your way of thinking Excellent model for the local teams to follow Previous exposure to the shipping industry: highly regarded Master Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business 8 years’ experience in financial senior positions Current knowledge of financial and accounting computer applications Confirmed experience in a senior level finance position Excellent command of English both written and spoken Good command of Spanish Excellent analytical and organizational skills Previous experience managing a team Previous experience working with local teams within a region preferred. This position will require about 50% of travel.
