Description Job location: Geneva, Switzerland Cash EMEA regional trader with 3 main focus Africa with connecvting the dots between extended Europe and specific of Africa Extended Europe coordination of cash meal: import SBM book and domestically produced softmeal Be the back up of the regional soya beans and meal trader. Major Tasks: EMEA Beans origination Manage origination of Black Sea beans and respective trading positions. Develop Ambrosia free supply chains from Black Sea for Egypt. Develop opportunities for sourcing and crushing EU beans. Managing risk positions on origination in South Africa. Work with the local team to manage bean pipe and risks for Zambia crush. Manage Customer Relationships in Countries not Covered Locally Handle supply chain duties for Egypt Execute CBOT orders on oilseeds products for customers Develop Oil Outlets for EMEA crush Import of EU oil to Egypt for private storage (Russia sun oil, EU SBO) Use the benefit of import duty discount from EU to SAF to grow market share Develop oil outlets within EMEA region in countries with no local presence SnD Take ownership of non-EU EMEA meal SnDs Transition these countries towards EU methodology Meal import coordination Design an easy to use mechanism for comparing the commercial value of different shipping models to different ports (and combinations of ports) in EMEA. Join weekly group freight trading conf calls and provide an update on relative value of different models. Attend weekly meetings with OT traders to plan upcoming vessels for EMEA. Attend weekly meetings with OT ops to understand prospects of all EMEA vessels from ETA load port to ETA discharge port. Calculate commercial impact of vessel prospects and determine whether remedial action needs to be taken. Call origin commercial teams to discuss lineups and lineup forecasts at all origin ports. Working back from desired ETA destination, based on expected customer activity and market shape, work out what this means for desired laycans for EMEA vessels. Update local offices on same. Drive change process to move to a common stocks forecasting methodology and ensure that the relevant inputs are managed by the local teams. At least twice per week, use stock forecasts and replacement spreads to increase revenue by ensuring that we are carrying the highest stocks, i.e. more meal to sell, in the best paying market. Creating a plan to put this theory into practice. Connect with IPS to understand potential mutually beneficial commercial opportunities. Develop and execute softmeals strategy Do a deep analaysis into what is the most efficient/profitable way to market our softmeals and manage the risks associated with it. Develop a strategy to ensure that we do this and have the correct competencies in place to do it. Roll out the strategy and lead the local teams in executing the strategy. Back-up to Regional Beans and Meal Trader Qualifications Required Qualifications: University level and an economic view Fluency in English Mini 3 but preferably 5 years in crush or oilseeds complex Africa compuslary Europe market a plus Cash Trading Strong communication skills Facilitation skills and good
