Introduction HVAC Work Supervisor , in the Site Management and Buildings Department (SMB), Site Engineering group (SE), HVAC and Electricity section (HE). The Site Management and Buildings (SMB) that provides and maintains the infrastructure and services in the domains of the Supply Chain, the Security of the persons and the civil engineering and their technical systems, including all phases from preliminary design to construction management and hand-over. The Site & Engineering Group (SE), responsible for designing, constructing, maintaining, and operating the civil engineering infrastructure of the organisation and the technical systems for the tertiary buildings. The Hvac & Electricity Section (HE) within the SE Group, in charge of the operation, maintenance, design, tendering and work phases of Hvac, Electrical and Sanitary installations of the tertiary buildings. Functions As a member of the HE Section, you will be in contact with a wide range of people, designing, supervising and coordinating works of varying degrees of complexity that you will be expected to follow to completion. As an autonomous, proactive team player, you will collaborate with project engineers and various other technicians who are all experts in their own field. In particular, you will: Organise and coordinate work on HVAC installations (water pumping, compressed air, chilled water production, heating distribution, and ventilation systems) to ensure they comply with the established schedule and budget as well as safety rules, technical standards, and contractual documents. Define technical solutions and in proposing modifications according to users' requirements. Obtain quotes/offers from external contractors, then creating orders. Take part in drawing-up technical specifications to prepare call-for-tender documents. Contribute to calculations and measurements for industrial piping systems. Ensure compliance with safety rules for all activities described above. Qualification required Higher technical diploma in the field of mechanics or electro mechanics, or equivalent. Experience and competencies The experience required for this post is: A good knowledge and understanding of cooling and/or ventilation principles is essential, as is expertise in machines and equipment used in cooling and/or ventilation plants. Proven experience in technical coordination of work and of installation / construction of sanitary and hydraulic installations. Proven experience in relations and technical coordination of external companies and contractors. Experience in the use of office software work packages (Microsoft Office). The technical competencies required for this post are: Installation of heating production plants. Installation of water distribution networks: water cooling plants, compressed air production and distribution plants.. Installation of distribution and air treatment plants. Installation & dismantling of electro-mechanical equipment. Design, construction and test of HVAC ancillary hydraulic systems. Good organizational skills and the ability to coordinate activities involving different technical fields (electricity, civil engineering, heavy handling, cooling and ventilation and cost control). Design of Process control functional analysis / Requirement analysis. Commissioning & maintenance of mechanical equipment & systems for HVAC plants. The following competencies would be definite assets: Knowledge of thermal building load calculation according to Swiss or French thermal regulation.
