The Challenge Ahead: Part of the Global Publishing Organisation (GPO), you will work closely with the International Publishing Organisation (IPO) and Asia Publishing Organisation (APO) Demand Planning Teams reporting to the core games IPO Demand Planner, as well as other key stakeholders. Providing detailed market insights into how competitive games perform both in gameplay and community sentiment in direct comparison to EA games. You will lead the strategic analysis of competitor’s games in the market place for titles that have been successful in the past and the titles that have recently launched and been commercially successful. What a Gaming Market Analyst does at EA: Gameplay assessment of competitive games Defining the gameplay experience of key successful competitive launches. Deeply analysing the game play experience to understand what the player experience is like at each stage of the consumer journey-3 minutes-3 hours-3 days and 3 weeks. What live service offerings do they have, how compelling the social features are and what gameplay features are leading to the success of the competitive titles. You will also implement a standard form & library to communicate and share these assessments. Community feedback and sentiment on competitive games Monitor and report on what competitive games communities are saying about these successful games (why are they engaging? What features are compelling? What community/live services offerings do they have that are driving engagement). How competition is creating positive community sentiment and how they are connecting with players. You will also implement a standard process to communicate and share these updates. Assessment of successful competitive games in comparison to similar EA titles Competitive analysis showing how EA titles stack up against key competition in our relative genres. Deep dive analysis of how our products game play compares to the competition and supporting rationale for why an audience for a competitive game may be bigger or smaller based on the game play/live service/social nature of competitive games. Assessment of the market performances of the main competitive games Assess what the weekly Sell-Through actuals are and maintain a solid database to track the actual ST performances by platform, channel and country. Perform ad hoc analysis to show how the main competitive games are performing relative to market and other titles. The next great EA Gaming Market Analyst also needs: Degree educated or equivalent Deep gaming experience and strong connections to gaming communities An extremely active gamer with a broad range of gameplay experience across multiple genres of console games. Digital native with a strong connection to all forms of gaming communities Outstanding communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders at various levels of seniority Strong initiative and self-motivated. Not one for always waiting for direction but has the ability to take ownership for the role, looks to push for a deeper understanding of the business and news ways to approach understanding our players. Well organized and detail oriented. Has the ability to work through multiple game assessments at the same time. Ability to manage databases and business intelligence software Can show strong initiative with the ability to look to the future and highlight & action opportunities for growth. Team player
