Arbeitsbeschreibung:
Fast pulsed magnets with associated high voltage pulse generators and transmission lines. Electrostatic and magnetic septa, including high voltage power supplies for electrostatic septa. Devices protecting against beam incidents. You will work in an international team of hardware and equipment-level software developers. Study, design, develop, integrate and commission hardware and embedded software solutions for the control of beam transfer equipment across the whole CERN accelerator complex, with a focus on the LHC beam dumping system triggering and re-triggering system. Design data acquisition, analysis and monitoring systems for surveillance of redundant system in fast pulsed power systems. Produce special expert applications software for commissioning, fine-tuning and in-depth performance and failure analysis. Participate in the exploitation, maintenance, repair and upgrade of existing control systems under the responsibility of the Electronics and Controls section, proposing improvements and upgrades as required. Bachelor diploma in the field of Electronics engineering, or equivalent. Initial experience in electronics design and real-time/embedded software development; good theoretical knowledge and practical experience in electronics circuit design, modelling and simulation. Analog circuit design, modelling and simulation. Analog circuit testing and measurement techniques. Application of high level electronic system description languages, techniques and tools. Commissioning, operation & maintenance of electronic systems. Design and development of systems based on standardized electronic modules. Digital circuit design, modelling and simulation. Digital circuit testing and measurement techniques. Programming/Software development. English/French Shift work, incl. nights, Sundays and public holidays. Work in Radiation Areas. Interventions in underground installations. A valid driving licence. Stand-by duty, when required.
